After laying the foundation with a successful 15-year research and consulting career in the international developmental sector, Srinath Anekal founded ClimateSD Services in 2008, to primarily focus on ensuring climate change and sustainable development aspects are considered as part of the developmental landscape.

A Graduate in Environmental Engineering Sciences from the University of Florida, Gainesville, USA and the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore, INDIA, Srinath Anekal has made significant contribution infrastructure projects in USA, India, Mauritius, Mozambique, Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.   These projects have been in the sectors such as, Agriculture, Irrigation, Renewable Energy, Urban Infrastructure (water supply, water reuse, wastewater management, stormwater management, solid waste management and transportation), Coastal Protection and Environmental Management, among others.  He has analysed these sectors from the climate change and sustainable development perspective. 

Through this experience, he has cultivated excellent skills in researching on the latest sectoral advances and preparing deliverables that meet international reporting standards, but within tight budget and deadlines.  He also has a recognized ability to not only lead multi-disciplinary teams but also collaborate with other team members to ensure timely submission of deliverables that can withstand the scrutiny of international reviewers. Under his leadership, ClimateSD has strived to achieve two main objectives of the firm viz., “completing successful projects” and “upholding good client relations”.
