ClimateSD Services was selected as an International Climate Change Specialist by Global Works International Corporation, USA to provide services to support the preparation of a Detailed Project Report for TA-9169 KGZ: Second Issyk-Kul Sustainable Development Project, Kyrgyzstan and financed by Asian Development Bank, Manila.
The scope of the assignment includes conducting a climate change risk and vulnerability assessment on the project due to its location near a UNESCO Biosphere and link to the snow melt streams; identify and assess the impacts and risks to the wastewater management infrastructure being implemented for the three Issyk-Kul lake-shore cities of Balykchy, Cholpon-Ata and Karakol. The scope also includes identifying, recommending and estimating the costs of appropriate climate change adaptation measures to be incorporated into project design.
